QA Lead (The Channel Store)

We are looking for a QA Lead to lead the design, implementation, and execution of product quality plans that best suit the needs and idiosyncrasies of The Channel Store.

Responsibilities:

  • Accompany the product definition process with clear acceptance criteria.
  • Participate and support the TPM in all tasks related to the implementation of the Scrum methodology at TCS with a focus on quality.
  • Sprint planning.
  • Sprint review.
  • Retrospectives.
  • Participation in stand-up meetings.
  • Lead and be a reference for test automation and the existence of unit testing processes in the TCS development and testing squads.
  • Evaluate, recommend, and implement tools.
  • Execute tests.
  • Obtain KPIs from the tests.
  • Promote improvement plans.
  • Work with Service Continuity in risk management.
  • Act as the point of contact for the technical support team to identify software issues in production and correctly incorporate them into the Jira ticketing system for resolution via hotfix or next development after implementing contingency plans.
  • Establish and develop quality metrics to measure the maturity of development processes and improve planning capacity.
  • Coordinate QA tasks of other team members and help their professional development in QA skills.

Experience and Skills:

Our profile is designed based on the following requirements:

  • Telecommunications Engineer, Computer Science Engineer, or Senior Science Graduate, with at least 5 years of experience in software development with a focus on software quality.
  • Test automation environments, Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, and Postman.
  • Jira testrail or similar for the preparation and monitoring of test plans.
  • Knowledge of Python and Bash Scripting.
  • Knowledge of cloud environments.
  • Team manager capable of creating an environment of integration, commitment, and high satisfaction.
  • High capacity for teamwork and influence.

Languages:

  • Native-level spoken and written Spanish.
  • High-level spoken and written English (minimum C1 or similar).

Work Environment:

  • Motivated, action-oriented, and problem-solving, providing reasonable and data-based information.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Fluency in multicultural, dynamic environments focused on online internal communication.
  • Design and implement new strategies and creative solutions within their area of competence.

Location:

The position can be based in Madrid or Barcelona. Ideally, we are looking for someone who resides near Barcelona or Madrid, although we do not rule out any application if it fits the desired profile.
